Acer Aspire 4520 Review

I'm currently using this laptop for my study, gaming, internet and blogging. What I can say is this model is great and is even better when it is upgraded to 1GB of RAM or higher.

The original specification are:

  • AMD Turion 64x2 Mobile Technology TL-60 (2.0Ghz, 2x512KB L2 Cache)
  • Nvidia GeForce 7000M
  • 512MB DDR2 RAM
  • 120GB HDD
  • DVD Super Multi Double Layer
  • 802.1b/g WLAN

other specification include

  • 14.1 Acer CrystalBrite LCD
  • Acer CrystalEye WebCam
  • MMC card reader (not sure about others as I never try using the card reader for other type of memory card)
  • 4 USB port (2 on the left and 2 on the right)
  • Dolby Digital Live Speaker (Most Aspire speaker sounds are too slow, Aspire 4520 is louder)

The bad news is, there are so many buttons that I can't find the use of it. For example, there is a bluetooth button, but there is no bluetooth device installed in this model as well as infrared port but I don't think there is any infrared device bundled with this model.
I'm not sure about the 'Acer Empowering Technology' for this model as when I clicked on the 'e' button on my laptop, this is what it poped out: The system cannot find the file specified.

The good news is, Acer has launched a new model for 4520-5A0516MI
Not much difference, but the new one is bundled with 1GB RAM
